How many Tourists visited BiH in September?

Tourists realized a total of 141,902 visits in BiH in September 2017, which is by 11.8 % less than in the month of August 2017 and by 12.1 % more in comparison to September 2016.

Tourists realized a total of 284,731 overnight stays, which is by 23.5 % less in comparison to August 2017 and by 10.7 % more than in the month of September 2016.

When it comes to the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists was 25.9 %, while the participation of foreign tourists was 74.1 %.

In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourist in the month of September 2017, most of the overnight stays were realized by tourists from Poland (7.7 %), Turkey (7.3 %), Italy (6.8 %), Serbia (6.7 %), Croatia 6.5 %), Germany (5.0 %) and Slovenia (4.1 %), which makes a total of 44.1 %. Tourists from other countries realized 55.9 % of the overnight stays.

When it comes to the length of stay of foreign tourists in BiH, on the first place were tourists from Malta with an average stay of 7.1 nights, then Ireland with 3.9 nights, Kuwait with 3.6 night, Iran with 3.5 nights, Romania with 3.4 nights and Qatar with 3.2 nights.

Tourists in BiH had 19,023 rooms, apartments and camping sites at their disposal in the month of September 2017, which is by 8.5 % more than in September 2016, as well as 40,467 available beds, which is by 8 % more than in the same month 2016.

When it comes to the type of accommodation, the largest number of overnight stays was recorded in hotels and similar type of accommodation with a total share of 92.9 %.
