The crowd also greeted military veterans who came to the protest in an organized manner with great applause. Among the protest participants today were the families of miners killed in the accident at the “Soko” mine in Sokobanja on April 1, 2022.
Their family members carried banners that read “Miners’ children have the right to justice”, “Miners gave their lives, families deserve justice”, “Methane instead of oxygen, let’s not forget the victims of the mines”. The organizers of the rally made sure that one lane on Voždova Street was passable for ambulances throughout the day.
