Max Verstappen won the Japanese Grand Prix

Reigning world champion Max Verstappen continued his dominance in the Formula 1 championship by winning the Japanese Grand Prix held this morning at the Suzuka circuit.

The phenomenal Red Bull driver Verstappen started from the first starting position and after 53 laps on the 5.8 kilometer long track he was the first to cross the finish line with a passing time of 1:54:23.566.

Second was Verstappen’s co-driver from Red Bull Mexican Sergio Perez, with a gap of 12.535 seconds, and the Spanish Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz climbed to the lowest podium as third place, with a gap of 20.866 seconds behind the winner.

It was Verstappen’s third win this season.

Verstappen has 77 points in the driver’s standings, second-placed Sergio Perez 64, Carlos Sainz collected 59 points.

The next Formula 1 race is the Chinese Grand Prix, scheduled for April 21, AA writes.
