The mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, signed an agreement with the Zenica Brown Coal Mine on the method and deadlines for debt settlement based on executive decisions, and in this way, the long-standing problem of account blocking based on this debt was resolved.
Namely, according to the Agreement, the parties agreed that the debt of RMU Zenica to the City of Zenica in the name of calculated interest for the principal debt amounts to a total of 2,542,462.87 BAM.
“It was agreed that the entire amount of the debt in the amount of 2,542,462.87 BAM will be paid by RMU Zenica in thirty monthly installments, starting on September 1, namely the first six installments in the amount of 98,435 BAM and one installment in the amount of 98,457.87 BAM. Respecting this Agreement, the reaching and signing of which I initiated earlier, will prevent RMU account from being blocked. Therefore, the blocking of the mine’s account will no longer be caused by the debt to the City of Zenica, if the Agreement is respected. I am glad that we finally overcame this problem since I have great respect for chamberlains who earn bread with seven crusts,” said Kasumović.
The agreement on the conclusion of this agreement was reached on April 5 at a meeting in the City Administration with the mayor of Zenica, which was attended, among other things, by representatives of RMU Zenica and Elektroprivreda BiH, announced the City Administration of Zenica.
