Mayor of Kakanj gave up the current budget reserves to aid in healing the ill

Nermin-MandraAfter the initiative made by the mayor of Kakanj, Nermin Mandra,  by which he decided to give up most of the current budget reserves, a new item in the budget of Kakanj called “Intervention funds to aid in healing and another kind of help” was created.

Around 50,000 BAM is planned for the previously mentioned new budget item. In addition, individuals and businesses, governmental, non-governmental and other organizations will be able to pay in the funds as well. Therefore all parties who want to voluntary contribute and pay for the emergency assistance in the treatment, and for other kinds of emergency assistance.

The money from this fund will be given by the Centre for Social Work Kakanj according to the criteria adopted by the municipal council.

Decisions on the allocation of funds will be made by a Committee comprised of: the representative of the Center for Social Work Kakanj, representative of Municipality of Kakanj, representatives of political parties that participate in the Municipal Council Kakanj, doctors, pharmacists, representatives of businessmen, representatives of national minorities, representatives of pensioners and representatives of the veteran population. This committee will be formed by the municipal council.

The emergency funds will be allocated for assistance to persons who find themselves in need of treatment, due to the death of one or more family members (funeral costs), and due to sudden accidents in the family.

Reports on the expenditure of funds will be transparently represented the public as it is done so far Mayor of Kakanj, Nermin Mandra.
