McGaha gave a Briefing to military Leaders of NATO and EU Member States in Brussels

Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, Brigadier General Pamela L. McGaha, held a briefing yesterday in Brussels to the highest military leaders of NATO and the European Union (EU)member states within the framework of the long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between NATO and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), including cooperation between NATO and the EU in BiH.

In a briefing with SHAPE Deputy Chief of Staff (VCOS) Lt. Gen. Hubert Cotterreau and Maj. Gen. Dacian Tiberia Șerban, Director of NATO’s International Military Staff Cooperative Security Division, McGaha thanked NATO and EU countries for their support and contribution to the defense capability building project. as the best way “to build capabilities and resilience in the defense and security sector.”

“The best examples of success have been achieved through a united effort – bringing together our institutions, countries and activities to use all our expertise and resources to help BiH in the best way,” said McGaha.

During the meeting, General McGaha praised the ongoing partnership activities with the BiH Ministry of Defense and the BiH Armed Forces, including the successful organization of the NATO Strategic Military Partners Conference in April 2024, which brought together representatives of NATO and partner countries to discuss strategic military cooperation and strengthened cooperation.

Since BiH has been a member of NATO’s Partnership for Peace program since 2006, such events represent a significant opportunity for engagement and dialogue, NATO Headquarters Sarajevo announced.
