andyWhile commenting on today’s decision of the Council of Ministers of B&H about the team to lead the negotiations for concluding the future Agreement on cooperation between EUROPOL and B&H, the spokesman of the EU Delegation in B&H and the EU special representative Andy McGuffie stated that it is a big step forward made by the Council of Ministers of B&H.

He stated that the operative agreement between EUROPOL and B&H will contribute to a more efficient fight against cross-border criminal through empowered cooperation with the EUROPOL as well as through exchange of personal data.

He emphasized that a greater international cooperation means less places for criminals to hide at.

It will, considers McGuffie, be necessary to ensure a high level of data protection of the citizens.

“The priority is to continue fast with all formalities, all in order to begin with the negotiations.” – concluded McGuffie.
