medicinesThe Council of Ministers of BiH yesterday adopted the Ordinance on the control of medicine prices, the method of forming the price of medicines and the manner of reporting on the prices in BiH.

After the meeting, Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanovic said that the Ordinance was adopted unanimously, emphasizing that this is good news for citizens.

“This will make the drugs in BiH significantly cheaper, and it is good news for both our government and funds that will be able to save a lot of financial resources since some medicines from the essential list were much more expensive,” said Osmanovic.

Medicines will be cheaper by an average of 10 %, and the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH is obliged to publish the Ordinance on its official website on the 6th of March 2017, and 90 days after to start with its application.

It is estimated that our country will save about 50 million BAM in this way.

Consideration of the Draft Ordnance on the price of medicines was the only item on the agenda of yesterday’s session of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
