During the excavation in Zgošćanska necropolis near Kakanj in 2012, several valuable artefacts were uncovered, especially the golden ring with lily engraved on it.
Lily is the medieval symbol of the ruling Bosnian dynasty- The Kotromanićs.
Numerous other artefacts were found: pieces of ceramics, upper part of the altar, etc.
These archaeological findings will be kept in the Museum of Zenica but they will be returned to Kakanj municipality once the conditions for their preservations are met and once Kakanj gets its own Museum.
