parlament-fbihA meeting will be held in Sarajevo today by head of the US Senate cabinet Jeanne Shaheen, Maura Keefe and Richard Blumenthal, Laurie Rubiner with members of the Club of Women Parliamentarians of the FB&H.

As stated in the announcement of the US Embassy in Sarajevo and the B&H Foreign Policy Initiative (VPI BH), the goal of the meeting is to enable the creation of a platform for exchange of views between the heads of the US Senate cabinet and the Club of Women Parliamentarians of the FB&H, which would enable a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the current state of opportunity and challenges that female parliamentarians face in their work in Parliament.

The female parliamentarians and female heads of cabinets will have the chance to share their experiences in communication and field work with the electorate, and will speak about the issue of the formation of interest groups within the parliament, as an alternative space for their effective action on certain areas.

The will enable the forum to establish contacts and constructive relationships that serve as catalysts for new ideas, initiatives towards strengthening relationships and the building of bridges of communication between the FB&H Parliament and the US Congress.
