Chairman of the BiH Presidency Nebojša Radmanović met the President of Austria Heinz Fischer yesterday in Vienna.
Radmanović and Fischer expressed their satisfaction in the continuation of friendly relations of BiH and Austria, and said how cooperation is at a high level. As a continuation of such cooperation Chairman Radmanović invited Fischer to visit BiH.
Radmanović spoke to Fischer about the Business Forum BiH-Austria, which began yesterday in Vienna with the participation of more than 200 business people from both countries.
During the meeting they expressed satisfaction that trade with Austria has reached a surplus, and pointed out that trade exchange could make a step forward.
Chairman Radmanović and President Fischer pointed out that the holding of the Forum is a step forward for successful cooperation.
During the meeting the Austrian President was particularly interested in the political situation in BiH, and in the region of the Western Balkans. They spoke about the delays in constitutional reform in BiH.
President Fischer expressed confidence in the European future of BiH despite the delay in constitutional reform.
They noted that there are a series of problems in the Western Balkans for whose solution a careful approach is required, to the countries in the region and in the EU.
They spoke of the marking of the 100 years since the beginning of the First World War in 2014.
Chairman Radmanović and President Fischer agreed that the marking of the anniversary should be a project of peace and that it should transmit a message of peace and not a return to the past.
