The collegium of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina met yesterday in Sarajevo ahead of today’s meeting of political parties united in a coalition for the formation of the state and FBiH government.

After the session of the Collegium, the SDP vice-president Vojin Mijatović told reporters that the SDP will begin the urgent formation of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as of tomorrow and that this will significantly slow down all appointment processes at the state level.

He announced that the SDP will support appointments only for those institutions that are important for the functioning of the state, adding that as of today, there is no longer the coalition of the Eight but the Seven, since for them, the party “For New Generations” is no longer part of the coalition.

He also confirmed that an order was given to the cantonal organizations to start negotiations on the formation of the government with all political parties, especially in the Una-Sana Canton, the Sarajevo Canton and the Tuzla Canton, which also includes talks with the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Fena reports.
