The leadership of the FBiH House of Representatives agreed to invite the candidates for president and vice presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to a meeting on Friday at 11 a.m. to determine all relevant facts related to the candidate selection process, that is, the selection process for the president and vice presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirjana Marinković Lepić, after the meeting of the leadership of this House.
She added that they decided to take this step considering that they have both political and social responsibility as the leadership of the House of Representatives, to give their contribution and thus do everything in their power to ensure that the procedures are followed to the end, considering that this procedure is not fully regulated in terms of detail.
Deputy Speaker of the FBiH House of Representatives, Edina Gabela, stated that from the beginning of the procedure, they initiated a meeting with the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH so that not a single step in the procedure would be violated.
“We consulted and worked in agreement and in accordance with the Constitution and the law,” added Gabela.
After the letters they received from the members of the leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Lidija Bradara and Igor Stojanović, as Gabela said, they initiated and held a meeting of the leadership of that House, where they found that there was no agreement and that there were no signatures of all three members.
“They received the support of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples, and we expect them to act responsibly and respond to the invitation we sent for the meeting on Friday,” said Gabela.
