BiH Minister of Defence Zekerijah Osmić, who leads the delegation of BiH Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of BiH in Turkey, as a part of the visit to International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) 2013 in Istanbul, met yesterday with minister of defence of Turkey Ismet Yilmaz.
During their meeting, Osmić thanked Yilmaz on the invitation to the fair, and to overall support of Turkey to BiH, especially in the field of defence and the path of BiH to NATO.
Yilmaz said that Turkey considers BiH a brotherly state, and that it’ll continue to offer support, and noted the need for fulfilling conditions related to MAP, in order to speed up the path of BiH towards NATO.
He noted that the entire region of the Balkans is heading to right direction, to NATO and the EU and that Turkey supports that, as a good way to reach permanent peace in the region and economic and every other progress.
Osmić met with the commander of ground forces of Turkey general Hayri Kivirkoglu and during the meeting they noted good cooperation of AF BiH and AF of Turkey, and concluded that the successful cooperation should be continued in the period to come, said BiH Ministry of Defence.
