Reconstruction works on the famous Mehmet-paše Sokolovića bridge are being carried out at a rapid pace.
The Turkish construction company ER-BU is the contractor for the bridge, which is one of the most important cultural-historical monuments during the Ottoman period in the Balkans. This Turkish company is known in B&H for carrying out reconstruction works for the Old Bridge in Mostar.
It is expected that the renovation of the bridge will last for two years, and the value is estimated at around 10 million KM. The Turkish government is financing the project.
