BiH Deputy Minister of Security Mladen Ćavar met with UNDP representative

BiH Deputy Minister of Security Mladen Ćavar met with UNDP representative Michael Askwith, independent advisor of the Team of Resident Coordinator of the UN for BIH.

The occasion for the meeting was to get to know the process of final evaluation of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for BiH and Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) from the UN Development Program for the period 2010-2014.

The organise of the process of the final evaluation of aforementioned program is the UNDAF for BiH, and at the meeting those present exchanged the information and experiences on cooperation of BIH institutions, especially BiH Ministry of Security and Ministry of Defence, as well as the UN agencies in BiH.

They also exchanged the views on implementation of concrete projects and program activities of UNDAF and CPAP.

Participants of the meeting noted that in the first three years significant part of the Action Plan for BiH has been implemented which was signed on 20 May 2010 by Chairman of BIH Council of Ministers Nikola Špirić and resident representative of UNDP Yuri Afanasiev.

Noting the good cooperation of the UN Team in BIH and BIH security and defence institutions, they said that further engagement is need in order to implement the necessary tasks in the next year or so, especially those tasks that are related to democratic governance, social inclusion, energy, environment and human security and justice.
