On Friday, in the premises of the Public Utility Company “City cemetery Visoko”, 13 victims of the war were identified, including five members of only one family.

These are Bosniak victims who disappeared in 1993 in the village of Kratine, Vitez municipality. The remains of these victims were exhumed in 1998 at the Medjine site near Mostar.

The identity of these victims was first determined by the DNA method, and today their identity is confirmed by their family members.

Thus, five members of the Salkic family from Nadioci near Vitez were officially identified in Visoko on Friday. Family members confirmed the identities of spouses Emsad (1955) and Nihada (1959) and their three children: Melisa, who was just eight at the time of her death, Nermin, who was just 12, and fourteen-year-old Senad.

The identity of the Cerimic brothers has also been confirmed, also from Nadioci near Vitez, Edin, born in 1976, and his three-year-younger brother Elvedin (1979).

Also, the family members officially identified Salkic brother and sister, Adisa and Adis. Adis was only fifteen when he was killed, while Adisa was 12.

Osmancevic Ramo, born in 1914 in Busovaca, Horo Semir born in 1967 in Vitez, and Zatagic Amel, born in 1975 in Busovaca, were also identified.

All members of the Salkic family and the Cerimic brothers, in accordance with the wishes of their families, will be buried on May 7th in the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Vitez.
