CoM establishes the Proposal for Conducting Negotiations on Construction of the Southern Interconnection

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina established, at today’s telephone session, the Proposal of the basis for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia on the construction of the gas pipeline “Southern Interconnection of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia” on the route Zagvozd (HR) – Posušje (BiH) – Novi Travnik/Travnik with a branch to Mostar.

The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is authorized to sign this agreement.

The agreement regulates the basics of cooperation and joint construction of interconnection (each on its own) on the direction Zagvozd (Republic of Croatia) – Posušje (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – Tomislavgrad – Šuica – Kupres – Bugojno – Novi Travnik/Travnik and on the direction Posušje – Grude – Široki Brijeg – Mostar, with branches to Livno, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Donji Vakuf and Jajce, and a branch to Čapljina and additional direction Kladanj – Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the gas pipeline Split – Zagvozd in the Republic of Croatia, announced the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is stated that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina also determined the delegation for negotiations, consisting of: the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (head of the delegation); the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (member of the delegation); the Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (member of the delegation); Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (member of the delegation); Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (member of the delegation); Minister of Finance of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (member of the delegation); Minister of Justice of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or a person authorized by him (member of the delegation).

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina is responsible for submitting the Proposal of the Basis to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further procedure provided for by law, with a proposal to designate the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina as the signatory of the agreement, the statement said.
