izetbegovic_hagueMember of B&H Presidency Bakir Izetbegović met in London with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland William Hague.

Izetbegović spoke to Hague on the status of talks that are currently led under the auspices of the European Commission, by the Commissioner for EU Enlargement Štefan Fuele on the implementation of the ruling in the Sejdić-Finci case. They agreed that a solution to this problem would have huge importance for the European future of B&H, and that therefore B&H political leaders in the next days are expected to make every effort to reach an agreement.

Hague confirmed the readiness of Great Britain to continue to lend support to B&H at bilateral and multilateral levels in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration, noting that the UK attaches particular importance to the speedy accession of B&H to NATO, and that, in this sense, wants to resolve as quickly as possible the issue of the registration of military property and activate the Action Plan for membership to NATO.
