Member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Presidency Zeljko Komsic met with Guillaume Rousson, Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH.

Rousson congratulated Komsic for being elected as member of the Presidency, along with the desire to establish better co-operation in the coming period. At the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between BiH and France that were rated as excellent and concluded that there are no open issues in this regard.

Rousson pointed out on the support of France towards BiH, particularly for Euro-Atlantic integrations, where it was emphasized that the activation of the MAP, as an expression of multilateral cooperation, is important signal from NATO alliance that Bosnia and Herzegovina need to use.

Economic cooperation is present between BiH and France, but there is a significant room for its improvement, which is certainly to be done through the institutions of both countries.

Komsic especially thanked Rousson for everything that France did for BiH in the past, hoping that future support will be constructive for obtaining BiH candidate status for membership of the European Union.
