Member of BiH Presidency met with the newly appointed EUFOR Commander

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović received Major General Helmut Habermayer, the newly appointed commander of EUFOR in BiH.

Bećirović called for a greater presence of EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized the important role of EUFOR in our country as a guarantor of stability and security.

He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains committed to preserving a stable environment for all citizens, the Euro-Atlantic perspective and contribution to international peace.

Bećirović and the EUFOR commander pointed out the importance of implementing the Agreement on Cooperation and Training for 2023 between EUFOR and the Armed Forces of BiH, especially with PSOTC – Training Center for Security Operations.

Bećirović expressed gratitude for EUFOR’s past cooperation with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He acknowledged the implementation of the activities, which demonstrated EUFOR’s capabilities and the EU’s commitment to the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bećirović and Habermayer expressed a mutual desire to continue the successful cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and EUFOR.
