A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke today with the special envoy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach.

Bećirović welcomed Sir Stuart Peach, assessing that his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is a continuation of the United Kingdom’s continued interest in reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its European path.

He thanked for the continued political, economic, security and other forms of support of the United Kingdom to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bećirović pointed out that it is important to create a positive atmosphere in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and that the goal of Bosnia and Herzegovina is to be a peaceful and stable country focused on European and Euro-Atlantic integration and values.

The meeting also focused on the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries, with special emphasis on the importance of attracting investments from the United Kingdom to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the transfer of knowledge and technology.

A special envoy of the United Kingdom, Sir Stuart Peach, said that his country remains an ally and friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is ready to continue to support it in the reform processes.

He pointed out that the United Kingdom will continue to invest in the infrastructure of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans, which should contribute to increasing energy independence, employment, expanding production capacity, and thereby increasing the competitiveness of the economy, stated the BiH Presidency.
