Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina met today in Washington with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the United States Senate, led by Senator Jeanne Shaheen.

They discussed current foreign policy topics, as well as the internal political, economic and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The members of the BiH Presidency thanked the American senators for their interest, as well as the help that the USA continuously provides to institutions at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, it was stated that the government at the BiH level was formed in record time and that this represents a positive development.

On this occasion, the members of the BiH Presidency pointed out that the common interest of all nations and citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the preservation of peace and stability, as well as full membership in the European Union.

The interlocutors assessed that obtaining the candidate status for membership in the European Union is a positive signal for Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed commitment to the implementation of reform processes important for further progress on the European path, announced the BiH Presidency.
