The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the decision made earlier yesterday to adopt amendments to the Law on Excise Tax, which would enable the reduction of fuel prices, Fena reports.

The MPs yesterday adopted the Report of the Joint Committee of both Houses on the harmonization of the text of the amendments to the Law on Excise Tax, which now stipulates that excise taxes on fuel will be abolished for a period of six months, with the possibility of an extension for an additional three months.

At the beginning of March last year, the House of Representatives of the State Parliament adopted a law that fuel in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be cheaper by up to half KM for a period of six months, with the possibility of an extension for an additional three months.

However, the House of Peoples adopted the same law at the end of August, but with a validity period of only 30 days, so it was necessary to harmonize the text of the law.

The House of Representatives sent the Bill on Salaries and Remunerations in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by MP Šerif Špago (SDA), to the Committee for Finance and Budget to reconsider it and prepare a new report.

Namely, the MPs did not accept the negative Opinion of the Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Representatives, which considered the proposed law and did not support its principles, which provides for the balancing of salaries paid from the budget.

The House of Representatives did not accept the request of MP Denis Zvizdić (NiP) that the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Flag of BiH and the BIll on Amendments to the Law on Sport in BiH be considered under an urgent procedure, so they will be considered in the regular legislative procedure.
