Members of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency, Milorad Dodik, Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic met on Monday with the United States Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan.

The officials of the two countries talked about bilateral cooperation between countries, about the ongoing political and economic situation in BiH, relations of countries in the region, fight against terrorism, the issue of illegal migrations, and the activities under the EU integration process.

All mutually agreed that the bilateral relations of BiH and the United States of America are excellent and stable, highlighting that the United States remains an important partner of BiH in building peace and prosperity for all nations and citizens.

The US Deputy Secretary of State thanked members of the BiH Presidency for the reception and once again stressed that the United States supports the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

He expressed expectation that the formation of government and power at all levels would come soon, and he supported the continuation of the implementation of reforms on the path to EU and NATO integration, all in order to maintain stability and peace.

Presidency members informed Sullivan about the political situation in BiH and the process of constituting power at all levels after the October general elections.

It was emphasized that the European future of BiH remains unequivocal and that economic reforms, economic growth, employment, and the fight against corruption in all spheres of society should be in the focus of the authorities in BiH in the forthcoming period.
