Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chairman Milorad Dodik and members Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic will meet today in Sarajevo with Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic.

The beginning of the meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM, it was announced from the Presidency of BiH.

Due to the worsened epidemiological situation, it is stated that a statement will be issued after the meeting.

”We hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, as well as other countries in the region and the world, will succeed in successfully tackling the challenges and consequences of the pandemic and dedicate themselves to economic development,” it was said during the meeting of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija with Serbian Foreign Minister Selakovic in Sarajevo.

The meeting focused on current political and economic issues in BiH and the region, with special reference to the challenges facing countries in the region due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The interlocutors assessed that, in addition to good and constructive relations in various fields, there are certain open issues between the two countries that require resolution in future bilateral activities at the political and expert level, such as delimitation and property issues.

Tegeltija informed Minister Selakovic about the priorities in the work of the Council of Ministers in the coming period, emphasizing the belief that relations between BiH and Serbia will progress dynamically in the coming period, pointing to the need to continue holding joint sessions of the BiH Council of Ministers and the Serbian Government.

It was assessed that regional cooperation is of strategic importance for BiH and Serbia, and that strengthening good neighborly relations and intensifying cooperation in areas of importance for improving the living standards of citizens for both countries are imperatives. It is hoped that BiH and Serbia, as well as other countries in the region and the world, will succeed in successfully tackling the challenges and consequences of the pandemic and dedicate themselves to economic development, the BiH Council of Ministers said.
