Members of the Presidency of BiH hosted the Minister of FA of the Kingdom of Sweden

The members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) expressed their satisfaction with the visit of Minister Billstrsm, with the assessment that the bilateral relations between BiH and the Kingdom of Sweden are friendly, with intense political dialogue and no open questions. Good political relations are not accompanied by developed economic relations, and the intention has been expressed to intensify economic cooperation in the coming period.

They emphasized the importance of connecting the economic entities of the two countries and the interest in Swedish investments, for which there are numerous and untapped potentials in BiH. A special connection between the two countries is represented by the numerous diaspora from BiH, which successfully lives and operates in Swedish society. The members of the BiH Presidency said that the regulation of contractual relations between the two countries, in all areas of interest, will contribute to the development of economic cooperation, to the benefit of both parties.

Members of the BiH Presidency expressed their gratitude for Sweden’s decades-long continuous support for the sustainable development of BiH, the country’s reform, and the European path, through numerous projects of importance for all citizens in the country.

Minister Billstrom expressed Sweden’s intention to strengthen and build relations with BiH. He reiterated Sweden’s support for implementing reforms on the path to BiH’s membership in the European Union (EU) and emphasized the importance of the reform process for the country’s economic progress and prosperity. In the program of the current Swedish presidency of the Council of the EU, the integration process of BiH and the countries of the region into the EU and their importance for the stability and future of the EU are supported.
