Memorial Park of the War Victim Suada Dilberovic finally opened

The Faculty of Medicine officially opened the Memorial Park of Suada Dilberovic on Wednesday, May 9. The Memorial Park, which is located next to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo, was opened in memory of Suada Dilberovic, a student of the Faculty of Medicine and the first victim of aggression on Sarajevo.

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo opened the Memorial Park with the help of the Municipality Center, and this park will serve as a place where students will have the opportunity to spend their time in a quality way.

From the Faculty of Medicine stated that they are hoping to keep the memory of Suada Dilberovic with this park.

The conceptual solution of the park was done by professors at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Sarajevo, and the park contains appropriate horticultural elements, smart benches and a fountain near the amphitheatre.

The memorial plaque was revealed by Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Semra Cavaljuga and Advisor Mustafa Resic.

The official opening was attended, among others, by members of Suada Dilberovic’s family. Moreover, students of the Academy of Music in Sarajevo also attended the ceremony and paid their tribute with a beautiful performance.
