cemetaryToday, on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, in BiH will be marked the Day of Martyrs. On this day, Muslims will remember the best Bosnian sons who gave their lives in defense of BiH with reciting prayers and by visiting the cemeteries in BiH.

Eid is a joy for every Muslim, the whole Muslim community and the entire world. However, on the second day of Eid al-Fitr Muslims in BiH are remembering large number of those who are no longer among the living, those who lost their lives during the aggression on BiH from 1992 to 1995.

Day of Martyrs is the day of remembrance of all of those who became the brightest examples of fighters for justice, truth and dignity with their brave exploits and nobility in defense of BiH.

Day of Martyrs in BiH was established by the decision of the Islamic Community in BiH on the 23rd of January 1995. It seems that, as the time is passing by, this decision of the IC is gaining on its importance and significance.
