The movie “Men don’t cry” by BH director Alen Drljevic, in the production of Deblokada, won the prestigious Dragon Award for the best international film at the 41st Goteborg Film Festival.
A total of 20 films were screened in a strong international competition, among which were films by director Armand Lannucci, as well as the film director Sebastian Lelia. His film was also on the list for the Academy Award.
This award was awarded for the very first time in the history of the festival, and it was presented to the director Alen Drljevic at the final ceremony.
The Goteborg Film Festival was founded back in 1979, and it is the largest Nordic Film Festival at which was screened more than 450 films from 80 countries of the world during ten days, and more than 160,000 people visited the festival.
The film “Men don’t cry” will continue with screenings at prestigious European festivals – it will be screened at the Sofia International Film Festival in March 2018 as well as the Vilnius International Film Festival.
