Ramadan activities of Humanitarian organization “Merhamet” M.D.D. and all of its organizational units made possible for many socially vulnerable citizens to feel the joy of iftar throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina this year.
During the holy month of Ramadan, Merhamet prepared about 150,000 iftar dinners and distributed more than 5,000 family Ramadan packages for people in social need, as announced by the Office for Public Relations of HO “Merhamet”.
This Ramadan, Merhamet organized joint iftar for residents of the areas that were threatened in last year’s floods and landslides, and thanks to Merhamet, returnees in smaller B&H entity, residents of refugee camps, residents of homes for abandoned children, residents of centers for people with disabilities and centers for drug rehabilitation, as well as the old, sick and weak people, members of associations of demobilized soldiers and other vulnerable groups felt the joy of iftar.
Most of the iftar dinners organized by “Merhamet” was attended by the president of this humanitarian organization, Hajrudin Šahić.
“All of these activities, for those who need help, we managed to achieve thanks to the dedication of employees and activists of Merhamet, as well as the solidarity of Merhamet’s donors and friends” said Šahić.
