Meta will lay off about 3,600 employees as part of its latest performance-based cuts.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that about 5 percent of the workforce will be affected as Meta seeks to accelerate its performance management process.
In a memo to employees, Zuckerberg explained that the layoffs will hit the lowest performers, Bloomberg reported.
This comes after Meta previously announced that it would cut 10,000 jobs in 2023 as part of its “year of efficiency” initiative.
