MinistryforeignaffairsOn the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, and with the consent of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, the Council of Ministers, on the emergency telephone session held on 26 March 2015, adopted the Decision on the amount of the base for calculation of salaries in the diplomatic and consular missions of B&H (GAP) in 2015, which immediately solved funding of 16 DCR B&H, who are the most threatened by changing the exchange rate of the US dollar and the Swiss franc.

According to the statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with internal redistribution and savings within the budget planned for 2015, ensured funds in the amount of 520,000 BAM for the implementation of this decision, which will ensure smooth operation of these 16 DKP in 2015.

“Considering the situation in which some DCMs of B&H in the world have found themselves, MFA was undertaking activities within their jurisdiction continuously, in order to find an adequate solution through the rationalization and financial savings on the level of B&H institutions, to overcome difficult situations,” says the statement.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that this, further rationalization of available resources within the MFA of B&H will affect the planned activities of the ministry in 2015, but these are necessary measures due to the financial situation caused by the enormous change in the exchange rate of the US dollar and Swiss franc against the Euro, which is the basis of Bosnia and Herzegovina convertible mark.

In the past few months, Ministry of Foreign Affairs tried to solve this problem systematically, but it was not possible since the budget for 2015 had not been adopted at the time.
