In case you lose your ID card, passport driver’s license, traffic license, or the gun registration card, the first thing you should do is to report it to the police office at the place where you lost it. The police will then issue the confirmation of the loss, disappearance or theft of the document, after which the citizen announces the document void in the Official Gazette at his/her own expense.
After the document is announced invalid, the following step is to submit a request for the issuing of a duplicate, i.e. the new document or documents, in the place of residence.
However, in case you find the documents afterwards, you are obliged to return the documents immediately to the police office that issued the duplicate.
