On Manjača near Banja Luka, a military-sports competition “Marširaj i pucaj”, in organization of the British Embassy to BiH, BIH Armed Forces sand EUFOR was held with the goal to improve mutual cooperation and training of the BiH Armed Forces.
Brigadier General Mirko Tepšić, the Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces for operations, said to journalists that this event would improve cooperation between the Armed Forces and EUFOR, promote skills in the Armed Forces and contribute to the effectiveness of military training.
“This competitions would specifically contribute to the development of sportsmanship and friendship between the armed forces from different countries, as well as for representatives of other BiH agencies’’, said Tepšić.
He said the soldiers of the armed forces and EUFOR had the task at the competition to achieve best results in various disciplines.
The Commander of EUFOR in BiH, General Major Dieter Heidecker said to journalists that the second competition was held between the BIH Armed Forces and EUFOR that represent the final activity of the operational exercises, with the aim of cooperation, training and qualification of the BIH Armed Forces.
Teams attended the competition from the Armed Forces brigade, Irish Guard, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, as well as teams from Austria, Turkey, and Hungarian contingent of EUFOR.
The winners will be awarded a symbolic award.
