Drugs worth Millions of BAM found in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Police officers of the Police Directorate of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, in the operational action “Koko II” arrested three people for the illicit trafficking of narcotics with an estimated value of more than one million BAM, stated in a joint statement of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior and the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office.

In the searches carried out in the areas of the Center, Ilidža and Novi Grad, two laboratories for the cultivation and production of marijuana were found, with about 1,000 stems.

“Also, more than 30 kilograms of dry herbal matter – marijuana, about six kilograms of the narcotic drug MDMA, about 400 grams of the narcotic drug speed, seven packets of cocaine, two packages of psilocybin mushrooms, and numerous other items of interest for the investigation were found and seized,” the statement states.

Three men from Sarajevo were deprived of their liberty: T.A. (1996), Dž.J. (1997) and F.R. (1992).

The operation “Koko” is the result of a months-long investigation by the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton and the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Sarajevo Canton.
