Last night, the President of SNSD and Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik announced the filling of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
It should be recalled that this Court works without a single judge from RS after the National Assembly of RS (NARS) put pressure on Zlatko Knezevic to resign.
“We need to prepare and perhaps initiate procedures to fill certain structures and the Constitutional Court itself, as well as other institutions regarding the judiciary,” Dodik said last night, after a meeting with the Coalition of the Three and HDZ leaders.
The filling of the Constitutional Court is certainly a positive step. However, it must be emphasized that at the end of June, the NARS adopted a law on the non-application of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH on the territory of that BiH entity, as well as the decisions of the High Representative.
Without withdrawing these laws, normalization of political relations in BiH cannot be expected.
