Milorad Dodik Announces Declaration of Independence of Republika Srpska if Law on State Property Is Imposed

Milorad Dodik, President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), again threatened in Banja Luka that he will declare the independence of the Republika Srpska entity if the High Representative imposes the Law on State Property.

As he has stated numerous times, the declaration of independence of this entity will occur immediately if Schmidt decides to take this action.

“If Schmidt imposes the Law on State Property, the decision on the independence of Republika Srpska will be made,” Dodik said.

He reiterated his position that decisions made by Schmidt should be annulled.

“We will not allow anyone to control us in that way. Schmidt’s decisions must be annulled. Once that is done, Republika Srpska will be ready for talks and agreements in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There will be no talks before that happens,” said the former president of Republika Srpska.

He continued his rhetoric about the “betrayal” of Serbs associated with Bosnia and Herzegovina and continued to insult Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This distorted state cannot survive, this anti-Dayton state where nothing from the Constitution is implemented,” Dodik said.

He called the opposition from Republika Srpska “trash” and stated that he, together with “Muslim politicians” and the international community, will try to abolish this entity.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina is a Frankenstein for the Serb people and cannot provide anything good for Serbs. The longer we remain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the worse it will get,” he added.

Republika Srpska, he said, will not enter into a military conflict, and he expressed hope that after the global chaos, the “civilized world” will be in a position to ensure the right of peoples to self-determination, although such a right does not exist in the context of Republika Srpska.

“We must unite around this idea. There is not a single sign that could make us optimistic about our future in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina was an experiment in which the development of Republika Srpska and its projects was suspended,” Dodik said, Klix.ba writes.
