Miners in Zenica Mines did not resume Production Today

The workers’ disobedience, which the miners of the Subsidiary company Rudnici mrkog uglja Zenica entered two days ago in the morning shift, has not stopped even this morning – confirmed the director of that company Mensur Hukić.

In his statement to Fena news agency, Hukić says that he has no information about whether the Management of the Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the ruling company, met, as announced yesterday by the President of the Trade Union of the “Raspotočje” plant, Nedžad Duraković.

He notes that the workers stopped production due to the fact that they did not receive any salary for the year 2024, as well as that the management of the ruling company was meeting to try to find a solution for the payment of at least one January salary.

The Zenuca mine is experiencing high pit pressures in the “Raspotočje” plant, which since December last year have been hindering them in the normal development of the work process, so the results of mined ore are lower than planned.
