Promotion of the 25th generation of attendees of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of FB&H (FMUP) was held in Sarajevo yesterday.
Training for the rank of police officer was successfully completed by 249 attendees, of which 130 for the MIA of the Sarajevo Canton, 50 for the MIA of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, 30 for the MIA of the Una-Sana Canton, 29 for the MIA of the Central Bosnia Canton, and 10 for the MIA of the Tuzla Canton.
Minister of Internal Affairs of FB&H Aljoša Čampara stated that the Police Academy of FMUP is one of the most important institutions in the police system and aims at contributing to the development of modern and democratic police structure based on mutual trust between the police and the citizens.
Furthermore, Čampara added that the training of newly hired police officers and informing them about the principles of police job and course contents defined in accordance with the democratic principles contribute to better application of police powers and execution of activities of a police officer.
“I hope that you, future policemen, will adequately apply in practice the knowledge and skills gained in the Academy and thereby justify our trust and give your contribution to strengthening the reputation of police profession,” Čampara said and congratulated the successfully completed training to the cadets.
