The mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, signed the conclusion approving 91,300 BAM in the name of financial aid from the City of Zenica for 913 miners.

Kasumović stated that recently the councilors of the parliamentary majority in the City Council of the City of Zenica, which consists of the Zenica Initiative Fuad Kasumović, SDP – Social Democratic Party of BiH, Narod i Pravda, Independent Bloc and independent candidate – representative of national minorities Osman Šuvalić, demanded from him to consider the possibility of how to allocate 100,000 BAM from the City Budget to help miners.

“Given that the City is financially stable, and that the miners are citizens of this city, I have sent a request to RMU Zenica to provide the City of Zenica with a list of employed miners, in order to pay them a one-time financial aid in the amount of 100 BAM each,” said Mayor Kasumović.

He added that his sole intention is to help the miners.

“We paid funds in the amount of 91,300 BAM with only one goal, which is to help the miners,” Mayor Kasumović said, as reported by the Public Relations Department of the City of Zenica.
