Minimum Wage in the RS increased by 25 BAM

Wages Increase RS tgportal.netThe Republika Srpska Government today reached a decision on the minimum wage in that BiH entity.

As of next year, minimum wage will amount to 395 BAM, which is 25 BAM more than the current minimum wage.

Economic Social Council of RS adopted a conclusion at its 38th regular session held on December 13, 2016. That conclusion suggests to the Government to reach a decision on the minimum wage.

The Federation of Unions claims that this is a minimum progress.

“This is a symbolic increase and we expect to talk more next year and see how the parameters range and what the situation is like in all those aspects that are taken into consideration when the minimum wage if being defined. According to the current situation, our requests should be met and the lowest wage should amount to 50 percent of the average wage in the RS,” stated the President of the Federation of Unions Ranka Mišić.

Average net wage in the RS in November amounted to 839 BAM.
