Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić said after the opening of the new Border Crossing in Gradiška that the crossing was successfully opened, and that what was good was done, not only for the people in Republika Srpska, but for all people in BiH, RTRS writes.

“This is a political victory for the people living in Republika Srpska. It is not a party you can blackmail, but one you have to talk to. This is not only for the benefit of the people living in Republika Srpska, but for all people in BiH,” Amidžić emphasized.

Amidžić added that Republika Srpska was blackmailed by those in the Federation of BiH who thought that the blockade of the crossing meant coexistence in BiH, but that it had waited “for its five minutes”.

“Republika Srpska cannot be blackmailed. We were ready to stop all processes, if this had not happened today. I am interested in seeing Republika Srpska return to what is the politics of a life within the framework of the Dayton Peace Agreement. When you are persistent enough, a way out is found,” added Amidžić.

Asked to comment on the fact that the opening of the new Border Crossing in Gradiška is only a temporary solution, Amidžić added that in BiH, it seems, only temporary solutions survive.

When it comes to the crossing on the other, Croatian side, Amidžić emphasized that everything is functioning properly.

We remind you that the first cars crossed at the new Border Crossing on Tuesday, to the applause of those present.
