FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Branka Đurić talked today in Sarajevo with the representatives of travel agencies and airline companies of Kuwait headed by Abdul Al Tammar.
The meeting was organised by Senahid Bistrić, the Ambassador of BiH in Kuwait
Large Kuwaiti business delegation expressed their interest for investing in tourism and promoting BiH as a tourist destination, as well as using the tourist potentials with the aim of bringing tourists to BiH, and creating tourist products which would be acceptable in the Gulf countries.
Employees of the Ministry presented a series of current and potential tourist destinations and projects, and guests were particularly interested in rich cultural and natural diversity of BiH.
They concluded that there should be a direct flight from Kuwait to Sarajevo, and that there is a need that tourists from third countries visit BiH.
Kuwaiti businessmen expressed their interest in investing in promotion by supporting financially tourist organisations of BiH on large tourist fairs.
Branka Đurić said: ”The development of tourism is the primary goal of our Ministry. Through stable contacts with interested foreign investors we are slowly expanding the circle of potential investors. For us, it is not just enough to bring the tourist to BiH, but we also want to make a our tourist potential more flexible and adaptable to market demands, and meeting like this are of great importance for us.”
