Minister Forto: We are introducing special Labels for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, welcomed the initiative of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH to introduce special markings for electric and hybrid vehicles, pointing out that the Ministry of Communications and Transport has already included this issue in the drafting of the new Ordinance on vehicle registration, which is expected to be adopted by the end of the year.

“I am glad that there is agreement that Bosnia and Herzegovina should follow European standards and adapt its registration system to new technologies. In the new rulebook, we have already provided for special markings on the registration stickers for electric and hybrid vehicles. At the same time, we are also introducing different colors of stickers for budget and non-budget vehicles, which solves several initiatives that in the previous period came from the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH,” said Forto.

The new system of registration stickers will not only serve to make it easier to recognize vehicles of different categories, but will contribute to a more efficient implementation of technical inspections and the registration process, along with a simpler application of future measures related to vehicles with low or zero emissions, announced the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina expects the new Ordinance on vehicle registration to be published by the end of the year, which will improve the existing registration system and adapt it to modern traffic needs.
