Minister of Defense of BiH met with Ambassador of Italy in BiH

Minister of Defense of BiH, Marina Pendes, and her associates received the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH, Nicola Minasi, on July 17, 2018. She introduced the Ambassador with the activities that the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH is conducting, with a special emphasis on the efforts of our defense institutions to reach the activation of the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) soon.

Minister Pendes used this opportunity to inform Ambassador Minasi about the activities related to fulfilment of conditions for the activation of the MAP and she stated that the Ministry of Defense of BiH made some important steps towards their realization, especially in the process of registration of prospective military locations on the state of BiH.

They agreed that  the future bilateral cooperation in the field of defense should be continued and intensified, within which will be possible to realize joint projects of the Armed Forces of BiH and the Armed Forces of Italy, which especially refers to participation in peacekeeping missions in which Italy is active participant.

Minister Pendes thanked on behalf of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH for all of the help provided by the Republic of Italy, and she noted the hope for this cooperation, assistance and support to be continued in the upcoming period.

Ambassador Minasi gave its support to the current activities of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, he promised continuous support and assistance of the Government of Italy and expressed interest in continuation of cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH in the future period.
