The Minister of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, spoke today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Radulović, about the infrastructure projects of the two countries.

The meeting discussed the construction of a new interstate bridge over the Tara River at the location Hum (BiH) – Šćepan Polje (Montenegro), the reconstruction and construction of the road Foča – Šćepan Polje, and the construction of railway infrastructure on the route Čapljina – Trebinje – Nikšić – Podgorica.

“This is a good start of cooperation between two friendly countries that share a border. We raised three key issues: the first is the bridge on Tara, which we will build next year. We talked about and have support for the Adriatic-Ionian highway, and we raised the issue of the Foča – Šćepan Polje expressway,” Radulović said in an address to the media.

“We are planning to launch the Šćepan polje project, it is a road that hurts us all. We agreed that we will start the project next year with the construction of a bridge at the Hum location,” said Forto.

After the bilateral meeting, the delegations of BiH and Montenegro planned a meeting with the leadership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank, which will be attended by relevant ministers from Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, N1 writes.
