In the area of the Sarajevo municipality Novi Grad there is a plan for the construction of a Convention Center Sarajevo and Sport and Recreation Center Dobrinja. The project for the centers are very important items from the program “Launch Novi Grad Together”, said the municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo for Fena Agency.
“Given that these are new projects that were not planned earlier, we had to start procedures over the implementation of planning documents’’, said Novi Grad municipality.
In the work program of the municipal council for June of this year, it is planned a decision will be made of the construction of an urban project for the convention center Sarajevo and the construction of a sports and recreation center Dobrinja.
Experts from the Institute for Construction of Canton Sarajevo are already working on the project tasks, and soon a public call for the selection of an architectural solution for Congress Center Sarajevo will be published. The Institute will conduct the urban project for the construction of the sport and recreation center Dobrinja for Development Planning of Canton Sarajevo.
It is planned that the congress center Sarajevo would be built at the site next to the RTV building, which is near the municipal building.
In the area of Dobrinje, the construction of the sports and recreation center is planned to have indoor and outdoor swimming pools. This facility should be built near the Dobrinja high school.
Municipality Novi Grad announced that a third urban project has been launched, which relates to the industrial zone “Zrak”.
“These are important projects, which precedes the development of the implementation of planning documentation in order to begin construction’’, announced municipality Novi Grad.
