The value of the works was estimated at a total of 30 million BAM without VAT.

It is planned to double the existing capacities with the project “Modernization and upgrade of Terminal B”, and Airport Sarajevo should be able to serve about 2 million passengers on an annual basis with this expansion.

The expansion should provide additional 10,000 square meters of space on a total of four floors. The length of the terminal will be increased to 110 meters, in comparison to the current 68 meters.

The airport currently has one entry and one exit, and after the extension, it will get another entry.

The expansion will include the increase and expansion of space and technological capacities for the needs of passenger and their luggage, customs, security, passport and sanitary controls on both arrival and departure, waiting room, emergency assistance, luggage check, waiting room, catering facilities, Duty Free Shop, office and commercial space for the needs of airlines and other agencies, space for religious needs and all other accompanying facilities.

The check-in zone will be expanded from 17 to 28 places. Moreover, instead of the current four gates, there will be seven gates after the expansion. The arrival zone will be expanded as well.
