The money needed for tests and treatment in Turkey of seriously ill woman from Gorazde, Emina Hadzic was collected in record time after the appeal of the Humanitarian Association “Svjetlo grada” from Gorazde was published.

“Another successful humanitarian action was carried out, this time helping Emina Hadzic from Vitkovici near Gorazde to go for tests and treatment in Istanbul, KOC clinic. In record time, in six days, the required amount of 20,000 BAM was collected, which will be enough for examinations, radiation, hospital accommodation, as well as the accommodation of Emina and her escort. Thank you to all kind-hearted people. This action, like every previous one, breaks down national and territorial barriers. We had donations from Bratunac, Brcko, Zavidovici, Sarajevo, Mostar and other cities from Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH), and almost from all over the world by our diaspora. We inform the public that there is no need for further payments for Emina, who thanks you from the bottom of her heart and still thinks that this is just a dream,” the Association said.

Emina will leave for Turkey on March 19th, a day later the tests will begin and soon a PET CT scan, after which it will be determined whether treatment with iodine and radiation will be necessary.

“We wish Emina a safe journey, good health and a speedy recovery! In the next few days, we will publish the lists of all participants in this humanitarian mission on the pages of our official Facebook page,” say the Humanitarian Association “Svjetlo grada”.

Emina is 30 years old and a single mother, and her battle for life began five years ago when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
